This city was a masterpiece in it’s entirety, a lot of details everywhere from the tall immense building down to the water fountains. As the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church it contains religious and beautiful art & architecture.

Large columns, with a lot of detail. Each sculpture on the roof is different and is holding a different tool.

When you see the Vatican up close you see this immense structure with large columns and intricate details in the stone. It looks royal and heaven like, a structure I have yet to see something else compare to.

And the inside of the buildings contained some of the most beautiful artwork I have ever seen. With a lot of religious influence the buildings seem holy, truly inspired by some type of higher power.

My favorite stop in Italy, after spending hours here, I still feel like there’s so much more to see here. Because the art is extensive and so incredible detailed there is always more to see and experience. And with all great works of art, there are different layers and multiple ways to interpret it.

What really blew me away were the ceilings, with some great pieces of work. And when you are looking upwards, it creates a sort of looking at the sky feeling, that greatly enhances the feeling you get looking at these paintings. To imagine a human, person like myself, taking the time to create each line, each brush stroke is both a humbling and motivating feeling.

I’m excited to come again and really dive into the meaning of the artworks and buildings. See what that period of time was like for humanity, and see where this inspiration came from, how  it became to be, and what meaning I can draw from it now in modern times.
